Getting into fiction again
I just finished a book about a guy who goes insane. His entire meltdown was told as a story. Pretty brutal. It was described by one critic as “painful, almost intolerable reading”. It really is that at some points. You just feel so embarrassed for the guy. And he’s so oblivious. Madness isn’t really something he ever considers. He thinks it’s all some plot against him...
